
Get Flat Abs
A flat stomach is a sign of being in great shape. No matter how athletic
you are or how much you work out, it is not easy to get flat abs. Yet, there
are exercises designed to help you accomplish this goal. Strengthening your
core muscles will have other benefits also. Your posture will improve, lower
back pain will disappear and unbalanced footing will not be a problem as you
age. Sit ups are not your only choice to achieve washboard abs. In addition,
there are some dietary changes which you can make to keep your stomach flat
which should be incorporated into your lifestyle.
The plank is a great exercise for losing belly fat fast. Start by
kneeling down on your hands and knees as if you are preparing to crawl.
Stretch your body out and move into the push up position. You may balance on
your hands and toes if you are strong enough or use your elbows and knees
for a modified plank position. Make sure your wrists are lined up with your
shoulders, your back is straight and you have your abs and glutes tightened
to prevent sagging of your back. Stay in the position for a minimum of ten
seconds. While doing so, exhale which will tighten your abs and draw your
navel in to your spine.

Washboard abs workouts should also incorporate an exercise known as
seated rotations. Sit up straight and bend your legs and knees together.
While in this position, place your arms in front of you or cross them over
your chest. Tuck your tailbone in and then roll slightly back. While rolling
back, also rotate your spine from left to right, alternating sides each
time.
Leg exercises are another part of 6 pack abs workouts. One great exercise
to try is leg lowers. Here you will need to lie flat on your back with your
hands behind your head. Curl the upper portion of your body so your chest is
over your ribs. Lift your legs so the knees are bent at a 90 degree angle so
your knees are positioned over your hips and your ankles are parallel with
your knees. Keep your hips down and lower your legs to the floor without
unbending your knees, then bring them back up again.
These exercises alone will not help you to get flat abs fast though. For
those who want to know how to have a flat stomach, diet also must be
factored in. A flat abs diet must remove such fat accumulators as beer and
sweets. This does not mean they have to be eliminated completely, just used
in moderation. The term beer belly is based on fact as beer is very dense in
calories and these calories tend to show up as extra weight around the
midsection. If you use a combination of diet and exercise, you will see an
improvement in the stomach region. Don't expect miracles to occur overnight
though. It didn't take you one day to get out of shape and it will take time
to regain stomach strength. Yet, now you know how to get a six pack quickly
and easily.
